Another day – another album cover :-)
Yesterday Turboweekend’s third album was released! We designed the artwork for both the album and the single On My Side. Go to our work page to see more photos of the finished album cover. The photo in the brush stroke is by Sofies father Hans Kruse, taken at a place called Artist’s Palette in Death Valley, Nevada, where minerals and salts in the ground give the mountains vivid colors!
Efterklang have just announced the release of their 4th album which will come out later this year, on September 24th. Here’s a sneak peak of the front cover which we designed, the rest is still in the making. Read more about Efterklang’s exiting project on their new website, and you can also see a trailer by Andreas Koefoed.
Yahuuuuuuu! We just completed our Master’s degrees from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts / School of Design a couple of days ago. It sounds so good, doesn’t it? Finally we are no longer students. We had our big exam on Thursday where we presented our final thesis project that we’ve been working on for the past 4 months: Video projections and stage design for Efterklang’s Piramida Concerts, of which the first took place at the Sydney Opera House in May. If you want to read more about this project visit our Work site. And here’s a list of where Efterklang will be playing their Piramida Concerts this fall. If you live in Copenhagen, don’t miss their show at Konservatoriets Koncertsal on October 10th.
Here are a few stills from some of the projections we made – they are mostly black & white animations based on analogue experiments and mixed with film and photography.
Saturday the 26th of May was a very special day for us! Efterklang had a world premiere of their new album, Piramida, at the Sydney Opera House for the Vivid Live Festival. We designed scenographic elements as well as visual projections for the concert. It has been an amazing experience, and we look forward to posting more images once we are back in Copenhagen.
