We are having a Christmas Market at Old Mate this Saturday from 13-17 together with Jody Barton and Rasmus from Efterklang. Drop buy and find your Christmas presents here, there’ll be lots of good deals! And enjoy some coffee and cake too.

We’ll be selling this new wrapping paper (498 x 631 mm) and a new A2 poster – among lots of other things + an A2 calendar as well!

We will be displaying a few pieces of our work at c/o Illustration, an illustration fair in Stockholm, opening March 25th in Biblioteksgatan 10. Unfortunately we won’t be able to make it up to Stockholm, but we are nevertheless very exited to participate.

Our New Studio!

We are almost in place in our new studio. We had so much stuff to move! Now we just need Nan Na’s father to come and help us put up some shelving and then we’ll be all set. (Let’s hope he reads this.) We are sharing the space with 10 other artists, designers, musicians and more. Drop by and say hi if you are near!

Agent Bauer

We are very pleased to announce that we are now under the wings of Swedish agency Agent Bauer! We’ve been considering to be represented by an agency for a long time, but haven’t been quite ready to take the leap, until Agent Bauer contacted us.

The agency represents a long list of talented creative people working with photography, styling, hair/make-up, animation & film and illustration.

We have found a new studio space! It’s on Ahornsgade in Nørrebro, near Skt. Hans Torv. So as of March 7th: if you are looking for us, this is where you can find us!

It’s a little sad to leave our cozy cave-like studio, which has been a good second home for 2 and a half years now. But ah, those winds of change…! We’ll have lots more light, and more space, in the new studio. And more studio mates as well: we’ll be sharing it with 11 other people, amongst others Daniel Frost, our illustrator friend. See some of his inspiring work here.

An Island screening

Friday night we hosted a private-public screening of Efterklang & Vincent Moon’s film An Island at our studio. It was a lot of fun, and a very lovely experience to watch the movie with old friends and new friends. Thank you for coming by everyone! Art Stars competition

Last year we participated in a project initiated by Ralph Lauren called Art Stars, in which we and 50 other artists were asked to decorate a denim star. Later all the stars were exhibited in London and auctioned away in order to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Now Ralph Lauren is inviting new artists to make a star of their own! All you have to do is upload your idea before Friday February 4th on the Art Stars website.

The two winners of the competition will get a chance to work on their star at our studio for one week each, along with a 1000 € prize and extra 500 € for materials. So if you have a good idea, go ahead and submit – we look forward to working with you!

Here are some photos of how we made our star last year. We tailor made a slim-fit-suit for it, that was sewn together from various pieces of denim fabric that we hand-dyed. Photos by Sam Christmas and us.

Guest talk

We will be giving a guest talk at the Danish School of Media and Journalism this Friday, January 21st at 2.15 PM.

The talk, which is supported by Polo Jeans Co. Ralph Lauren is open to the public and is part of a project called Art Stars that we participated in last year in which we, alongside other young artists, decorated a large star that was later auctioned off in order to raise money for teenagers with cancer. This will also be a call for entries for a new competition that the company is arranging for the same cause. More on this later!

The talk is open for everyone, so come on by! We will be speaking Danish though.

Julemarked / Christmas Market

We hope to repeat last year’s success, and are very happy to invite you and anyone you know to our Christmas market on Saturday December 11th from 11:00 – 17:00 at Sankt Peders Stræde 47, kld th.

We will have posters and artwork for sale – and our prices will be very friendly as we are moving soon and need to get rid of old stuff! So come and get your Christmas presents at a really good deal. Signed screen prints, tote bags, posters and much more.

You will also be able to purchase work by some of our good friends and artists, such as Jody Barton, Inka (Jewelry by Katinka Fogh Vindelev), Daniel Frost, Hanna Terese Nilsson, Rasmus Svensson, Anne Werner, Birgitte Vad & Rumraket.

And to top it off, cakes by Cecilie Bahnsen and Caritas Fischer! Plus of course lots of Christmashygge and hot wine.
