New prints for sale in our webshop!

We have added new prints to our webshop! This time they are limited edition prints of our cover artwork for Turboweekend, Efterklang and Clogs – as well as our old time favorite, Food Faces. The cover artwork was exhibited at the graphic art fair Pick Me Up, at Somerset House in London earlier this year. The Turboweekend and Efterklang images are 100×100 cm, and the two Clogs images are 60×68 cm. The Food Faces were made one afternoon a few years ago, just for fun, and they are 40×40 cm.

These editions are printed on demand, and personally signed and numbered. And you can buy them all here!

Seduction in theory

“If I gave you French underwear for your birthday, would you let me borrow it?” – ”I’m that guy, from that famous band, you know…” – “I closed (kissed) an HB10 (hot babe rated 10) last Saturday, but I don’t want an LTR (long term relationship) so I just said LJBF (let’s just be friends)”

We recently finished a new illustration for a story about the ‘art of seduction’. The article is about seduction in various contexts: how to sell yourself, or your product and how to attract customers – or the opposite sex! In the story there’s an interview with a group of young men who are all part of an online community where they share tricks and theories on how to seduce (mostly) women. We thought this was really interesting and funny… and apparently there are even equations to figure out how big your chance is to get together with a hot lady.

Ud & Se illustration

We almost forgot to mention: our latest illustration is out now in DSB’s magazine Ud & Se in the March issue. We did these two images for a very interesting and entertaining article about why and how people lie – which they apparently do a lot more than you’d expect… It’s written by our friend Boline Skovly. Grab a copy next time you are on a train! If you are not Danish you might not know the magazine, but it really is a nice one – one of our favorites in fact.

Creative Review – Record Sleeves of the month

Gavin Lucas from Creative Review was kind to include our two latest album covers – Magic Chairs by Efterklang, and The Creatures in the Garden of Lady Walton by Clogs – in his CR Blog post “Record sleeves of the month”. Here you can also see some lovely cover design by Sawdust, Hendrik Weber, Nick Gill and Daley Walton. (Wonder if Daley is related to Lady Walton?)

This month we are featured in a whole lot of magazines and on some nice blogs too! On the local scene we are featured in Danish Elle’s artist profile. And we also have an interview on the Danish art blog Kopenhagen.dk. Moving over to England we are on Creative Review’s website and on Ameliasmagazine.com with a very entertaining interview, thanks Amelia! We also have an interview in Design Week, where we were lucky enough to get our artwork for Efterklang’s upcoming album Magic Chairs on the cover. And finally, ending in the US we are featured in the current issue of Surface magazine, in a piece called “Great Danes” on the creative scene in Copenhagen. We took part in a pretty crazy photo shoot for this feature, well crazy at least for 2 peaceful designers who are used to working all day in a small basement studio minding their own business!
